Satire or irony
“Starting December 4th, the living will no longer be able to add new hope to their day, and their tormentors will no longer be able to sell them on new hopes.”
Satirical post written as a corporate product-shutdown notice signed 'The Hopes and Dreams Team', in which 'hope' is the discontinued program, 'the tortured' are users and 'tormentors' are creators; the dates apparently mirror a real platform wind-down notice. Cutoff date after which no new 'hope' can be added or sold.
Marked or evident satire, hyperbole or irony.
