Satire or irony
“We've made the difficult decision to gradually wind down Hope for A Better Life in February 2025 as the program hasn't caught on as we'd—ironically—hoped.”
Satirical post written as a corporate product-shutdown notice signed 'The Hopes and Dreams Team', in which 'hope' is the discontinued program, 'the tortured' are users and 'tormentors' are creators; the dates apparently mirror a real platform wind-down notice. Opening line: the fictional program winds down in February 2025.
Marked or evident satire, hyperbole or irony.
