Follows the author's description of civil commitment after a not-criminally-responsible verdict (at least six months, annual renewals, no maximum while illness and dangerousness persist) and the Hinckley precedent (34 years at St. Elizabeths). The author asserts that any verdict in Clancy's case, including NCR, results in years of confinement.
