“Absent compromise, further words are unlikely to be authorized. This will lead to a crisis for the newsletter and a complete shutdown of services, at least among articles that you’d want to read.”
Satirical post (dated 2025-09-29) that maps the looming US federal government shutdown, with a continuing-resolution deadline on Tuesday Sept 30, 2025, onto the newsletter 'running out of words'. The author says that absent a compromise no further words will be authorized and the newsletter shuts down.
