Commitment (own venture)
“As a doctor who took the long road coming to medical school, I realize now that some of my pre-medicine experiences will prove helpful in my career as a child psychiatrist.”
Republished 2014 residency personal statement (post dated 2023-02-12 reprints it with commentary). The author, then an applicant, predicts that his pre-medicine work (arts-education grants and school-district research with Litchfield Performing Arts) will prove useful in his career as a child psychiatrist.
The forecaster's own organization can make the outcome happen by its own decision: clinic openings, product launches, hires, trial starts, filings by their own company. Listed in the commitments table, never scored.
