Sarcastic passage about the 988 launch. The literal 'hopeful' claims are the inverse of the authors' expectation: 988 will not stop inpatient unit closures, will not fix insurer reimbursement of mental health professionals, and will not reduce police shootings of mentally ill Black and brown patients.
